Bish Bash Bosch! – Tool Testing Time is Here Again

After a successful campaign last year (2016), Bosch Professional has let it be known that they will be running the campaign again (#builtwithBosch) throughout this year.

Testing testing testing

The #builtwithBosch campaign gives professional tradespeople the opportunity to sign up to be their product testers and to trial cutting edge power tools as well as other technology, to be undertaken over a period of six-weeks. Bosch will then ask the testers to post a short film clip to YouTube or Facebook or both, demonstrating their own response to the tools they have been using, explaining the features the tools have and also filming their themselves actually using the tools that they are testing. This is a really good opportunity for people using the tools for their trade to voice their opinion on what it is like to use them. For Bosch it offers the opportunity for them to continue to build on the success achieved in 2016.

New Offering

Connected combiA new offering for 2017 and amongst the first tools that will be trialled is the GSB 18 V-60C Professional Connected Combi. This clever device uses connected technology to let users link to the tools via an App.  The App will then generate a report on the status of the tool at work.  It also records how the tool’s utilised. It will indicate how users might adjust the settings of the tool through such things as the precision clutch and the kickback controls.

This type of connected technology will be a great benefit for trade professionals who will be able, through the interactivity, to work to optimum efficiency, in as smart a way as is possible and this will save a lot of time each time they use it. Bosch are holding recruitment phases for testers every two months all throughout this year.

If you fancy applying to #builtwithBosch and becoming a tester, then all you have to do is go to and complete a simple application form.

Steve Hillier the marketing director at Bosch Professional Power Tools has said that following the success of the Bosch testing campaign last year where over 1500 applicants applied to become testers, Bosch have decided to continue, extend and build on the #builtwithBosch testing campaign throughout this year.   Bosch see this as a great way to get very valuable real life feedback from the trade professionals who will be using the tools.  As the campaign is on social media it is also a chance to have some fun, and meet other Bosch tool users.  The next time you want to buy a new tool from the range you will be able to see real people just like you, using the tools on YouTube or talking about their experience on Facebook.

This is a great opportunity to ‘try before you buy’ and we know that a lot of you have are born presenters. We look forward to seeing your work on Facebook and YouTube!
